Recipe for Design: Concept . . . Drawings . . . Collaboration . . . Results
Whether for an entire house or piece of custom furniture, the recipe is the same.
The design of this Banyan Tree Table is a good example of the design process. We needed a very shallow, “see-through” sofa-back table in this Living Room. In an “muse inspired moment”, it came to me how much my client loved her Banyan Tree outside, and I knew that it would solve our space problem and give us a beautiful, and meaningful feature in the Living Room. Collaborating with my very talented wood craftsman, 1000 miles away, we began the process of drawing and building this furniture masterpiece.
